Only take these tax deductions if you crave the rush of going one on one with the IRS – some people do crave such rushes  you know.

You can read the whole article at Kiplingers

at the courts decided did not quite work. As secret agent Maxwell Smart would say, “Missed it by that much!”

  1. Overdone Overdrafts
  2. Red Blood Cell Depletion Allowance
  3. Prostitutes and Porn
  4. Burning Down the House
  5. Hush Money
  6. Vegas Gambling Junket
  7. Meals with Colleagues
  8. Designer Clothes
  9. Wrecking a Rental Car
  10. Shoddy Construction

While some are obvious… like you can’t deduct lunch with your friends as “business” and #3 of course, you’ll want to read the amazing stories listed at Kiplingers.

Based on #1 I’m betting you don’t want to try to deduct the interest you pay to loan sharks… the Tax Court thinks our interest on debts should only be “reasonable”. Funny – what about the Federal Deficit?
